PetChapter privacy policy

PetChapter has no accounts, no ads and no analytics. Everything you enter about your pets stays on your phone, and we never see it.
What stays on your phone
Pet profiles, meal plans, the feeding and activity log, wellbeing notes, weights and body condition checks, the healthy weight plan, medications, health records, questions for the vet, caregiver names, notes and the photos you add. These records are about your animals. They are stored only on your phone, together with one previous copy the app keeps in case a save goes wrong. Nothing is sent to us or to anyone else.
No analytics, ads or tracking
PetChapter contains no analytics, advertising or tracking tools, and it does not use your data for advertising.
Reminders
Meal, care and medication reminders are scheduled on your phone, only if you turn them on. No push service or server is involved.
Photos
When you add a photo, you pick it in your phone’s photo picker. PetChapter reads only that photo and copies it into its own private storage.
Sharing and backups
A care handoff or a backup file leaves the app only when you share or save it yourself, through your phone’s share menu, and we never learn where it went. The backup file holds your profiles, plans, history and health records, but no photos. Anyone who has the file can read it, so keep it somewhere you trust.
Purchases
Subscriptions are sold through Google Play or the App Store, under their own terms, and we never receive your card details. To check whether your subscription is active, PetChapter uses RevenueCat (RevenueCat, Inc.), which receives a random app ID and your purchase history from the store. RevenueCat never receives your name, email address or anything you enter about your pets. We use this only to unlock Premium and to see how many subscriptions we sell.
Deleting your data
Go to More, then Clear local data, to remove every record and photo from your phone. Removing the app also deletes all its data. A backup file you saved elsewhere has to be deleted there.
Children
PetChapter is not directed at children.
Your rights and changes
Under the GDPR you can contact us with any question about your data, and complain to your data protection authority. If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date above.
